Dance Desires demonstrates a professional attitude towards dance including punctuality, reliability and teaching to the best of our ability by ensuring appropriate class sizes and a high standard of technique is being taught.
Dance Desires uses appropriate and flexible teaching skills to encourage a productive learning environment, including acknowledging any limitations a student may have, and working appropriately to improve or accommodate the need or to recognize a student's potential and offer guidance and encouragement as needed.
As well as encouraging and developing self-discipline, self-confidence and motivation in students, Dance Desires encourages and develops a student's musical appreciation, characterization, expression, and movement skills.
Dance Desires promotes and safeguards the interests and well being of students by complying with all statutory requirements regarding health and safety through the provision of well maintained facilities, studios and equipment. This includes suitable flooring, adequate heating/cooling levels and safe and secure dressing and waiting rooms. Dance Desires works on the basis that classical ballet forms a good base for other styles of dance. It can help to enhance co-ordination, posture, placement, body and spatial awareness, self-discipline, performance and communication. All of these skills can be transferred to general everyday life. |
