(3yrs)

Kinder Dance 1 teaches children ballet and dance technique in a fun and imaginative way using age and style appropriate music, props and dance imagery. This class aims to introduce very young children to the joys of moving to music while developing fundamental motor skills. This class is designed to develop musicality, coordination, stability, encourage body awareness, improve flexibility, and develop social skills. The children are also encouraged to work together and respect their teachers and peers to foster a happy and open learning environment.

(4-5yrs)

Kinder Dance 2 is a structured combination class that introduces the children to basic Ballet, Tap and Jazz technique. Emphasis is placed on coordination, flexibility, rhythm and timing. Students will begin to learn short dance combinations to age and style appropriate music. All exercises are designed to encourage and support students in their efforts of learning fundamental movement skills which are assisted by props such as hoola hops, ribbon sticks, pom pom’s butterfly wings and many more fun and exciting activities. The newest development in this class is the addition of Tap. Students will require Tap shoes and Ballet shoes – the Ballet shoes will be worn for both the Ballet and Jazz component of class and the general uniform remains the same as kinder dance 1 (baby pink).
