Alanna has a drive to achieve great results in all aspects of her teaching from teachings studies through to choreography. Alanna’s hard work and dedication has been rewarded over the years with many prestigious awards which include:
- 2006 Winner of the S.F.D Outstanding Achievement Award
- 'Bentleigh Eisteddfod' Teacher's Award' for Choreography’
- 'Bon Beach Eisteddfod Teacher's Award' for Choreography
Alanna began her training at the age of 3yrs and has trained extensively in Classical Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. She has also spent time studying National/Character dancing, Hip-Hop and Circus Arts. Alanna has performed in many fabulous productions and played many varied roles including:
- Lead roles in Two Pigeons, Can Can (Orpheus of the Under World) and Czardas from Coppellia in a collaboration performance with the 'Pops/Philharmonic Orchestra' and C.W.D.C, entitled 'An Evening in Paris.'
- Lead roles in Swan Lake and Merry Widow in another Collaboration performance with the 'Melbourne Youth Orchestra' and C.W.D.C in an evening gala entitled the 'Waltz of Kings.'
- Performed the title role of Giselle with C.W.D.C.
- Winner of the 'Violet Burns Memorial Contemporary Scholarship.'
- Princess Aurora in the ' National Theatre Ballet School's production of Sleeping Beauty.
- Kitri, in the 'National Theatre Ballet Schools' production of Don Quixote.
- Leading Soloist role in the 'The National Theatre Ballet Schools' production of Cinderella.
- Contemporary Ballet 'Ritualism' choreographed by Marc Burgatts.
- Solo contemporary piece called 'Medzam' choreographed by Simone Cliffard.
- Performed the Variation 'Le Corsair' to become a finalist in the 'City of Sydney Challenge.'
